ART completes four-car GP3 line-up for 2018

Hubert, the 2013 French Formula 4 champion, finished fourth in the 2017 GP3 standings behind George Russell, Jack Aitken and Nirei Fukuzumi.

He was the only ART driver not to score a win during the 2017 campaign, but did fight for victories at Silverstone and Monza, and finished the season with a best finish of second place, which he scored in the first British race.

"After a decisive integration within the team in 2017 but a feeling of unfinished business, I'm keen to capitalise on the experience gained the last year and aim my goal with ART Grand Prix in 2018," Hubert said as the news was announced.

"It is also what the team wants and I thank them for trusting me. This year, my goal will be to win the championship."

Hubert will race alongside European Formula 3 converts Callum Ilott, Jake Hughes and Nikita Mazepin at ART, which has won seven of the eight GP3 teams' titles, this year.

"Anthoine had a significant first year for a talented and dedicated driver who now has all the assets needed to put his name on the list of GP3 winners," said ART team president Sebastien Philippe.

"He knows the circuits, he has the experience of the car and works in well with the team.

"He has had high praise from experienced drivers in 2017 and this year will be one for title contenders with ART Grand Prix with the ambition to keep both crowns."

ART has now revealed all six drivers it will run in Formula 2 and GP3 on the Formula 1 support bill in 2018, with Russell and Aitken announced as its drivers in the second-tier last week.
