Zonta Completes Estoril Test for Toyota

Brazilian test driver Ricardo Zonta completed a two-day test for his Toyota team at the Estoril circuit in Portugal.

Brazilian test driver Ricardo Zonta completed a two-day test for his Toyota team at the Estoril circuit in Portugal.

Zonta worked at the wheel of last year's TF103B car, completing a total of 254 laps over the two days. His best time was 1:30.390.

"The last time I raced here was my first win in F3000 with Team Draco, so it was nice to return," said Zonta. "There have been a few changes to some of the corners since then but the track has kept all of its character from before.

"We have done two days of intensive wet tyre testing and covered many kilometres in preparation for Imola GP and for future development. The car has remained 100% reliable which is very important when you have such a concentrated programme to complete.

"I am glad to say we completed the programme and I hope that it will give us an advantage if we face damp or wet conditions for the forthcoming Imola GP - which the forecast currently predicts."
