Wurz vows to put Spanish GP behind

Alexander Wurz has vowed to simply forget and move on from his nightmare Spanish Grand Prix weekend

As teammate Nico Rosberg took the best finish on his career with sixth place, Wurz was left with little to smile about. He failed to make it past Q1, and then was forced out on the first lap after crashing into the back of Ralf Schumacher.

But rather than worry about what happened, Wurz has said his focus is firmly forwards as he gears up for next weekend's race in Monaco.

"At the end of the day, you have to move on and not let it get into your head," he told Williams' official website. "There's not much more to say about it really."

Wurz has said he is excited about the forthcoming Monaco Grand Prix - and not just because of what happens on circuit.

"I love the Monaco race track. It's a bit crazy to race F1 cars in such a place, but the more crazy the better, as far as I'm concerned.

"The whole town turns a bit nuts in fact, which is ok for the one week of the GP, but usually it's so quiet in Monaco. It's a strange week, so many people come down. Rich, poor, stunning, modified, nice, arrogant and some 'normal' ones! The mix and contrast of people is pretty spectacular."
