Williams drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Marc Gene were unhappy with the backmarkers following today's British Grand Prix.
Montoya came home in fifth place in what was his best result since the Monaco Grand Prix in May. The Williams driver, however, said he had lost a lot of time while lapping the backmarkers.
"I am satisfied with today's outcome," said the Colombian. "Although the car is not quick enough, it worked pretty well and I believe we got the best out of it today. When the safety car came out, the team did a great job by calling me in and I had a perfect pitstop.
"However, back on the track the backmarkers were frustrating and I lost a lot of time."
Gene, standing in for injured Ralf Schumacher, failed to score points for the second race in succession after finishing in 12th position. The Spaniard was also angry at the slower cars.
"I tried to be aggressive from the start and in the first part of the race I fought with Alonso, but we were running at the same pace and it was impossible to get ahead," said Gene.
"Alonso just passed me in the first pitstop and from then on it was just a matter of fighting with Sato and da Matta with our pit strategy as I simply didn't have the pace to improve my track potion.
"However, the backmarkers hampered me a lot. Depending on the set of tyres, the car's balance varied but overall it wasn't too bad."
