Webber Stays Positive Despite No Points

Australian Mark Webber stayed positive despite his run of point-scoring finishes coming to an end at the British Grand Prix today.

"That was my toughest weekend and race of the season so far," said Webber after finishing in 14th position one lap down. "The afternoon was very long as we battled against debris and spectators on the track. I got caught up behind some traffic after my first stop and that did not help my strategy.

"However even with all that in mind, I am pleased to have finished and very pleased not to have killed someone in the process. Our reliability had gone from strength to strength and despite my points scoring coming to an end I am positive about the next five races and I am looking forward to scooping up some points that may come our way over the next few weekends."

Jaguar driver Webber had scored points in five of the last six races. His teammate Antonio Pizzonia completed a poor day for the Milton-Keynes team, the Brazilian's race coming to an end on lap 33 when his Cosworth engine let go.

"I am disappointed not to have finished the race, particularly because I had started in tenth position and I was in a good place for chasing for points," said Pizzonia.
