Webber Pleased with Third Straight Points Finish

Australian Mark Webber was happy after finishing in the points for the fourth time in five races at today's French Grand Prix.

Australian Mark Webber was happy after finishing in the points for the fourth time in five races at today's French Grand Prix.

"We had a good car today and it performed very well indeed," said Webber, who finished in sixth place to complete a hat trick of points finishes since the Canadian Grand Prix. "We are still learning and developing the package but three points is great news for the team and its partners.

"The boys again did an excellent job today during the pitstops and Michelin have again stamped their superiority on the tyre-war with Bridgestone."

Webber's points allowed his Jaguar team to move up to sixth place in the Constructors' Championship, overtaking the Sauber and Jordan teams.

"This is now the third race in succession that we have scored points and to have jumped into sixth place in the Constructors' Championship is fantastic, albeit we know there is still so much to play for and given how many teams are working on package upgrades, we will keep pushing hard right till the bitter end," he said.

Webber's teammate Antonio Pizzonia finished in 10th position.
