Trulli: Toyota have reliability advantage

Toyota will have a reliability advantage because of their early car launch, according to driver Jarno Trulli

The Cologne-based outfit made a surprise debut to their 2006 challenger in testing last month, and they will be the first Formula One team to hold an official launch this coming Saturday.

And Trulli, who will start his second full season with Toyota this year, believes the early car debut will pay dividends.

"To have been able to test for some time already gives us a reliability advantage," Trulli told Gazzetta dello Sport. "We manage to run more consistently than the others and to do the development work on the car.

"I think we'll be ready to make the leap in quality which was started last year with podiums and pole positions."

Trulli said he expects Toyota to take their first win this season, and the Italian added the squad must be regarded now as a 'top team'.

"Now we present ourselves as a top team and we aim for our first win," Trulli said. "If we manage to get more than one it will mean we are good, while if we don't then it'll mean we made some mistakes."
