Trulli Refuses to Attack Button Over Belgian Shunt

Jordan driver Jarno Trulli on Sunday refused to attack Formula One newcomer Jenson Button for shunting him out of the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend.

The Italian, speaking at his team's 10-year celebration party at Donington Park, said: "You have to be professional when you are driving with everyone else and you have to accept that someone else made a mistake.

"I wasn't happy but I couldn't show everybody my feelings right after the accident. You need to be calm or you will say things you regret."

Button's Williams clipped the back of Trulli's car in a hairpin bend on lap five at Spa Francorchamps, sending him spinning out of the race while the young Briton went on to finish fifth.

Trulli, who started second on the grid in Belgium, argued that he had been cursed with ill fortune all season, during which he has managed just six championship points.

"This year has been pretty difficult because we've had a lot of bad luck and because of an unreliable car in the beginning," he said. "We look stronger than the results have shown.

"In the last race the car was performing well but, once again, we had too much bad luck. I've lost too many points finishes, which is really disappointing."
