Sutil keen to stay on at Force India

Adrian Sutil is keen to remain at Force India next year on the back of its recent upturn in form

Having taken the best result of his career with fourth place at the Italian Grand Prix after starting from the front row, the German says there is little reason to consider moving elsewhere.

"The only thing I have is an option here at this time, and it is really good right now," Sutil told AUTOSPORT. "For sure, when success is coming it brings us all together very closer.

"I am proud of my team and I feel well here. Now, with success, it is good to see smiles in the team, so I will have to think twice if I want to leave this team."

Force India chiefs were delighted that Sutil finally delivered a decent haul of points in Italy, having come close to good results in the past but often getting involved in late-race incidents.

COO Simon Roberts believed that the result in Monza would be a great help for lifting Sutil's confidence.

"I think it helps him in a whole load of ways," said Roberts. "To get through to Q3 so easily and to be so good in Q3, that has just ticked a whole load of boxes in terms of his confidence.

"Then to run in P2 for a while with pit stops and stuff, and then finish fourth is great. It really lifts him."
