Singapore, Valencia excite Raikkonen
World champion Kimi Raikkonen is looking forward to this season's new evening race in Singapore and the street track at Valencia
September's Singapore Grand Prix, which will also be a street circuit, will be the first Formula One race under lights.
"Seriously, I don't think it is going to be any different to the daytime. They are going to put up enough lights so you don't know if it is day or night time," the Finn told a news conference at Ferrari's winter ski retreat in northern Italy.
"For me it is going to be exciting."
Valencia is also a new addition to the calendar with the European Grand Prix being held there on August 24 around the harbour of the Spanish city, just like in Monaco.
"Actually, I like (street races) a lot. I enjoy Monaco. When you want to do a fast lap it is good fun," said Raikkonen, who thinks the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on March 16 is similar.
"It is kind of half a street circuit and half a normal circuit. It is a lovely place to be."
