Singapore GP secures title sponsor

Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) is to be the title sponsor of the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix

The event, which will be Formula One's first ever night race, will take place on 26-28 September next year on a new street circuit.

"We are delighted to clinch title sponsorship of the first ever night race to be held in Formula One history," said Chua Sock Koong, SingTel's Group CEO.

"At SingTel, we constantly strive to be at the forefront of our business and the association with this world-first puts the spotlight on our always being at the leading edge through constant innovation.

"The world is watching and this is a great event upon which to position the SingTel brand on an international level, as well as reinforcing Singapore's image as an exciting global city."

Singapore GP spokesman Ong Beng Seng added: "Asia's leading telecommunications company, SingTel, has a strong brand as well as a powerful regional and international presence. These strengths make SingTel the perfect strategic partner and the ideal Title Sponsor for the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

"We look forward to working together on a wide range of high-profile activities as we prepare for race day and what promises to be one of the highlights of next year's calendar."
