Senna wants driving standards action

Bruno Senna believes more action should be taken against drivers who display poor track manners when overtaking

The Brazilian was frustrated by an incident in Valencia where Virgin's Timo Glock cut across in front of him as he completed an outside-line pass, deranging the Hispania's front wing.

"It is happening a lot this year where drivers who are overtaking other drivers are just chopping in front too many times," Senna told Reuters.

"With the front wing sizes we have, everybody is losing front wings. The amount of front wings that are being damaged or lost, and punctures on the rear tyres, is ridiculous.

"Even if you are not competing for position, sometimes they just chop in front of you."

When asked if the issue should be raised with the stewards, Senna replied: "I think it's maybe a good idea. We need to see what can be done."

He added that while Glock, who also sustained a puncture in the Valencia collision, was given a penalty after the race, it was only for ignoring blue flags rather than for the collision.

"He caused a problem for the faster cars because he didn't let them pass early enough," said Senna. "That's what they were looking at in terms of penalising, not at the incident itself when he chopped my front wing.

"So I think we need to look at it more seriously."
