Schumacher is bookies' favourite

Michael Schumacher will win the Japanese Grand Prix and take his third championship title in the process - if the bookies are to be believed

The current points leader is favourite to win Sunday's race at Suzuka, with British bookmakers Ladbrokes offering odds of 11/10 to win the race and 1/7 to take the championship.

Mika Hakkinen is now 4/1 to win the drivers' championship, but if the Finn can win on Sunday and take the championship to the season finale in Malaysia, these odds will tumble.

Autosport.com has been fancying Jacques Villeneuve to nick a podium place in recent races and with BAR's engine supplier Honda wanting to impress on their home grand prix, Villeneuve's odds of 66/1 looks an attractive each way bet.
