Schuey to lose win, claims German mag

German motorsport magazine Auto Motor und Sport is claiming that it has received inside information hinting that Michael Schumacher will be stripped of his controversial win in the Austrian GP

The article quotes an unnamed FIA source, as saying that Rubens Barrichello will be awarded the win he gave to his team-mate in the closing metres of last month's race.

The official decision will be made when the FIA World Council meets in Paris on June 26, when Schumacher, Barrichello and the Ferrari team will be asked to explain their action on the final lap of the GP and the podium antics that saw Barrichello stand on the top step of the podium during the German national anthem.

However, the FIA is adamant that no ruling will be made until the World Council has heard Ferrari's case.

"No FIA official can say something like that now, because it will all be decided at the council meeting," said a FIA source. "It's hard to say what will happen, but it's impossible to make statements like that today."

If Schumacher is docked 10 points it will have only minimal impact on the championship. His lead would be cut from 43 points as it currently stands to 30 over Juan Pablo Montoya, who could be promoted to second in the event of Schumacher being thrown out of the results.
