Schuey hopes to steer Germans to victory
Ferrari's Michael Schumacher will use the latest Formula 1 technology tomorrow (Friday) to keep up with the action in the football World Cup
His home country Germany kicks off with the United States in the second quarter-final of the day at 12.30 BST, which coincides with the second free practice session at the Nurburgring for this weekend's European Grand Prix.
Schumacher will be kept informed of any first half goals via the message display system on his Ferrari's steering wheel.
"Obviously I would like to see the match," said Schumacher. "There are reasons not to see the first part of it, then I will watch the rest. But I will be kept aware of the result all the time by the telemetry, so I will be driving with my fingers crossed."
The reigning world champion has decided not to make a pre-match prediction after his previous attempt tipped Italy to beat South Korea - and they subsequently lost.
"There have been so many surprises already, anyone who tries to predict what is going to happen could be completely wrong," he said.
