Rosberg says podiums will come soon

Nico Rosberg is adamant his Williams team will be on the podium soon after a strong showing at the German Grand Prix

Despite starting from 15th position after a difficult qualifying, Rosberg charged through the field and scored an impressive fourth place finish.

It was the German's best result of the season, and he is now confident Williams will continue with its upward trend and be on the podium soon.

"We are going for it. I mean, we are going to be on the podium very soon, I already said that in Silverstone, and today was a really good day," Rosberg told the BBC.

"I had a really good start and really good first corner, first lap and managed to come out ninth after the first lap, which was good, and I had loads of fuel onboard.

"I was really struggling to keep the pace because the tyre warm-up was difficult and everything but managed to keep there and was a bit lucky also that Heikki was a bit of a traffic jam so that helped me stay with everybody else and like that I was able to move forward.

"The strategy worked fine today, which was nice, and so finished fourth. It's fantastic."

Team-mate Kazuki Nakajima finished down in 12th.
