Richards Sets Imola Deadline for Changes to BAR

New British American Racing boss David Richards has said he will announce alterations to the set-up of the team when the Grand Prix circus arrives at Imola for the San Marino Grand Prix in April.

New British American Racing boss David Richards has said he will announce alterations to the set-up of the team when the Grand Prix circus arrives at Imola for the San Marino Grand Prix in April.

Richards has made no changes to the team since his arrival, on the day of the car's launch at their factory in Brackley, but is assessing the situation and is likely to alter things in the future.

"By the time we get to Imola we will explain any changes that are necessary and any that we are going to make in the future," Richards said. "I have also said that it will be first 90 days or so when I sort a few things out and get to know things.

"At this moment in time I am very much hands-on, spending a lot of time at the track and getting very much involved on the racing side here. But that's not my style of doing things in the long-term. I intend to sort it out to have the right people doing the right jobs."

However, Richards will remain hands-on to a certain extent and has insisted that he will attend every Grand Prix this year, despite other commitments with his company, Prodrive.
