Ralf adamant he will stay in F1

The German is heading into his final race for Toyota in Brazil this weekend, but is convinced that he is not about to retire from Grand Prix racing.

Following reports this week suggesting he had signed a deal for 2008, Schumacher said: "I didn't say I had signed a deal. I just said I will remain in F1 next year."

When asked by autosport.com to clarify that he was therefore 100 percent sure he would be driving in F1, Schumacher said: "Yep. Why not? But how many times shall I say it? I have said it so many times now and as soon as I have any news I will tell."

Schumacher admitted that his 2007 season had been a disappointment, and he said there were few good memories that he would take away from the year.

"There weren't a lot of highs this year for us," he said. "It was a very poor season in terms of results. Still, we had a lot of changes on the car, we worked really hard and it was just the outcome that wasn't very good.

"Still, there were some races that I enjoyed. The last one was very enjoyable, and that is it. We hope to have another good race here to finish off the season.

"Obviously I want to try the best for the team and myself to have the best result and then I can go home and enjoy the winter break."
