Raikkonen Still Confident of Winning in 2002

McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen is still confident of scoring his first Formula One victory this year, despite a disappointing start of the season for the Woking-based squad.
McLaren, who last year finished in second place in the Constructors' Championship behind World Champions Ferrari, have so far failed to show race-winning pace, having scored only nine points after the first four races of the 2002 season.
Bur Raikkonen says the Mercedes-powered team, using Michelin tyres this year after switching from rivals Bridgestone, have the potential to win any race.
"I think we are constantly learning about the new tyres and how to get the best out of them," Raikkonen was quoted by Michelin's website. "I am confident that we will win races this year. I want to win races. It is my overall aim.
"Providing we can set the car up correctly and we have adequate power, I can see the potential to win on any of the 17 tracks."
The 22-year old Finn, who has retired with mechanical problems from the last three races, is currently in seventh place in the drivers' standings, one point behind his teammate David Coulthard.
