Raikkonen enjoying life at Ferrari

Kimi Raikkonen says he is enjoying life at Ferrari more than at McLaren so far, as he faces the start of his first season with the Italian squad

The Finn driver has left the McLaren team after five years, and he will replace seven-time champion Michael Schumacher at the Maranello team following the German's decision to retire from the sport.

"It has been very good," Raikkonen told reporters during the launch of the new Ferrari at Fiorano.

"It's a different working way here compared to McLaren. I think it's a more relaxed way, and I like it more. That's the reason why I came here.

"It has been just perfect so far, so everything feels very good."

Raikkonen endured a frustrating season in 2006, failing to win a race as McLaren completed their first win-less season in a decade.

The Finn, often hit by mechanical problems during his stint at the British team, said that Ferrari's reliability record was only one of the reasons why he decided to switch.

"For sure it's part of the whole team," said Raikkonen of Ferrari's reliability. "But there are many other areas and small things. There is no just one thing why I decided. I was pretty sure that I had made the right decision when I signed the contract."

Raikkonen will start testing for Ferrari this month, but he will be initially driving last year's car.

He is still unsure when he will be able to test the F2007 which teammate Felipe Massa will shake down at Fiorano tomorrow.

"I don't know the exact date I'll be with the car. You'll have to ask someone else," he said.
