Quiet race for consistent Frentzen

Heinz-Harald Frentzen slipped to fourth in the drivers' championship despite finishing in the points for the sixth race in succession as he took third place in the Belgian Grand Prix

But he is still very much in the hunt for third place with David Coulthard and the injured Michael Schumacher who is set to return at the next race.

Afterwards the French Grand Prix winner said he was still aiming to win another race before the end of the season.

It was a lonely uncontroversial race for the Jordan driver as team-mate Damon Hill, last year's winner of the Belgian Grand Prix, picked up a single point with sixth as the two drivers further cemented Jordan's third place in the constructors' championship.

'I am very happy with today's result. It was a great race for us, although not so exciting for the spectators,' said Frentzen.

'The team did a great job and our points today help Jordan in our aim to finish third in the championship.

'Unfortunately I lost a place in the championship to David. I tried to keep up with the McLarens but they were too strong for us today.'

Hill's best qualifying performance of the season disappeared as quickly as his hopes of repeating last year's victory when he fumbled the start and fell from fourth to seventh, recovering a place and a point before the chequered flag.

'I had to many revs and got wheelspin,' said Hill. 'and from then on I was just hoping I could get a point for the team.

'Naturally you have high hopes when you start out from the second row but it didn't work out today.'

He also had to battle with a puncture on his first set of tyres.
