Paddy Power: Williams is the best tip

Monaco showed that in Formula 1 there is no such thing as a foregone conclusion. David Coulthard's second win in the Principality should have gladdened the hearts of punters everywhere, especially those who had him at better than 20-1! - but don't let it fool you

Canada will be different and even Ron Dennis admits that his team is likely to struggle by comparison in Montreal. If you're looking for someone to take the fight to Ferrari, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve should play to the strengths of Williams-BMW. Last year, that combination allied to a strong race tyre from Michelin allowed Ralf Schumacher to beat brother Michael in a straight fight.

The 2002 Ferrari is a better chassis, of course, and the tyre war too unpredictable to call, but given the power demands of the track, 7-1 odds on both Schumacher Jr and Juan Pablo Montoya look attractive. As does the same price for either driver to set fastest race lap! You can also have 16-1 on Montoya winning from pole, with 20-1 for Ralf to do the same.

A combination bet featuring Michael and any Williams driver is also worth a close look. Michael and Ralf to finish 1-2, like last year, in any order is 4-1 and the same odds are available if you want to cover it with Michael and Montoya. For those of you sure that Rubens will have his day sooner rather than later, the Brazilian is also 4-1.
