No 2007 talks yet for impressive Kubica

Third driver Kubica was the sensation of yesterday's practice at the Canadian Grand Prix, comfortably setting fastest time in both sessions on his first visit to the tricky Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Theissen admitted that Kubica was doing everything that was expected of him this season, but said his form would not force a change of stance in deciding on the team's 2007 driver line-up only at the end of the year.

Asked whether Kubica's performances were boosting his chances of a race seat for next year, Theissen told autosport.com: "Let's talk about next season at the end of this season. I don't want to put pressure on him, but he is doing very well.

"Here was a continuation of what he did at Silverstone. We are very satisfied with his work. There are still no mistakes, he is very quick, very consistent and he gathered a lot of data on tyres and set-up. He is impressive."

While Nick Heidfeld has a contract with BMW-Sauber for next season, Jacques Villeneuve's deal runs out at the end of the year.
