More to come from McLaren

Mika Hakkinen's clean sweep of qualifying condition with his fifth

successive pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix and there was more tocome from his pacesetting MP4-14 race machine.

"The balance of the car is improving but there is more to come from the car
to get the chassis set-up the way I would like it.
Our car has to be better once we get it better it will go like a bullet. The car has much more potential that it shows."

After talking a predictable 15th pole position of his career the world
champion praised his engineers for developing the car during qualifying.

"Qualifying was very challenging, very difficult just like the rest of the
season and it was down to getting the lap right, the set-up right and
getting out at the right time and the engineers managed to get the best out of the car so I am grateful
to them," he added.

But Hakkinen, who trails championship leader Michael Schumacher by 12
points, said McLaren's advantage was not as big as it looks.

"When everyone was saying on Thursday we would have a big advantage here I
said it is not that simple, and I was right. Inside I was confident in the team but to say 'yes we are going to be
quickest here', I was not confident about that. But we got pole. I think the race going to be difficult and exciting. Tactics and the best
team and best driver will win.If it is hot for the race it will be very difficult and I am pleased I
have experience of that in the past here. We are still not where we want to
be as far as the car is concerned."
