Montoya will Keep Helping Raikkonen

Juan Pablo Montoya has vowed to do everything he can to help Kimi Raikkonen's world title bid - even though he thinks it is only realistic for McLaren to set their sights on the Constructors' Championship

The Colombian won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza last weekend, as Raikkonen struggled to fight through the field, and has said he will offer what help he can to his teammate until the World Championship fight is over.

"Until then I'll only do what's in the interests of the team by helping Kimi as much as possible, although even before Monza I was convinced that our more realistic target was the Constructors' Championship," Montoya told Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday.

"Thanks to my victory and to Kimi's finishing position, we've made up another point. I know it's not much, but it is still better than nothing."

Although Raikkonen is 27 points adrift of Fernando Alonso in the Drivers' Championship, McLaren are now just eight points behind Renault in the constructors' title chase.
