Juan Pablo Montoya was the pace setter on the third day of testing at the Barcelona circuit, where a heavy rain hampered the teams' progress.

The Colombian driver, at the wheel of the Michelin-shod Williams FW25, finished more than a second ahead of his German teammate Ralf Schumacher in the second of the cars from the Grove-based outfit.

Australian Mark Webber, joining the test today, was third quickest with the Jaguar R4, as the Milton Keynes team worked with both their drivers on track. Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia was seventh fastest in the second Jaguar.

Briton Ralph Firman, in his first test in the wet with a Formula One car, wound up an impressive fourth fastest with the first of the Bridgestone-shod cars. Jordan teammate Giancarlo Fisichella failed to set a time, just like Renault drivers Jarno Trulli, Fernando Alonso and Allan McNish.

Testing at the Spanish circuit continues in the afternoon.
