Monte Carlo or bust, who's worth a flutter?

If ever there were a race where betting and Formula 1 meet head on it is the Monaco Grand Prix. With the cars threading their way around the streets on the Cote d'Azur past such landmarks as Casino Square, it is hard to resist the temptation of having a flutter

But what are the odds this weekend? Who is most likely to give you some return on your hard earned in Monte Carlo, and which drivers will leave you bust?

Master of Monaco and world championship leader Michael Schumacher is where the safe money should go, with the German at 11-10 to win the race outright. Schuey has won at the Principality four times and is clearly the bookies favourite to make it five.

For those with a riskier streak, the irrepressible Juan Pablo Montoya could prove to be a nice little earner. The Colombian led in Brazil and in Austria, and has shown that he is by no means scared of taking the fight to Schumacher - and at 12-1 to win he could bring home a tidy sum.

For qualifying Schumacher is again the favourite at evens to take pole position with the in-form David Coulthard at 5-2 to top the times on Saturday. That man Montoya could again bring in the cash at 20-1, but best long shot for Saturday's one hour session is Jarno Trulli, who qualified second last year, with odds of 50-1.
