McNish Confident Sepang Knowledge Will Help Him

Allan McNish is expecting to perform well at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix because he has driven on the Sepang track in the past.

McNish, who tested with Toyota in 2001 before joining their race team for their debut year, had never been to the Albert Park track on which they started the season. And although he suffered from a lack of on-track experience at that event, the team have tested at Sepang and he feels they will be better-prepared going into this race.

"I have got a bit of an idea where we are going in Malaysia," said McNish. "I had absolutely no idea where I was going around Melbourne until I got out there on the Friday morning. But the pressure of the first race is now over so we go to Malaysia having been in a Grand Prix and I feel pretty well prepared for it."

McNish was a victim of the first corner melee in Australia after qualifying comfortably amongst the midfield runners.
