Massa aims to keep on winning

Massa, winner of his home season-ending Grand Prix at Interlagos, will start 2007 as one of the favourites to fight for victories if Ferrari are capable of maintaining their momentum from the end of last season.

The young Brazilian, third in last year's championship, will be joined by Finn Kimi Raikkonen following the retirement of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.

"With Raikkonen we are even but I have matured more experience with Ferrari and let's not forget last season was fantastic," Massa told a news conference at the team's annual winter retreat in the Dolomites.

"This year the championship will be fought harder because Schumacher isn't here, but there are drivers like Alonso and Raikkonen himself who are very strong. On top of that we'll have to see how Renault and the other teams will do. Another important thing is the tyres, which will be the same for everyone.

"I know I'm highly rated inside the team and I think I can be competitive. It will be different this season, maybe more exciting because many teams are at the same level.

"Last year I won in Turkey and in Brazil; I count on keeping on winning more yet."

Massa is welcoming Raikkonen to Ferrari, and he reckons he will have no problems working with the Finn.

"With Raikkonen we'll work together with no problems. Kimi will have to get used to here and will have to show all his worth," he added.
