Liuzzi was hoping for more

Toro Rosso's Italian driver Vitantonio Liuzzi was disappointed with his result in the Bahrain Grand Prix

Liuzzi, who had started from 15th place after a promising qualifying on Saturday, gained four places in today's event, going on to finish in 11th.

The Italian, however, admitted he wanted more.

"We were expecting a bit more after the start we had to the weekend," Liuzzi said after the race.

"But it was good to see the chequered flag in a reasonable position. Unfortunately during the race we did not have the pace we needed."

Both of Toro Rosso's cars made it to the end of the race, with American Scott Speed coming home in 13th position.

"I'm pleased to have got through to the chequered flag in my first Grand Prix without making any mistakes," said the American. "The balance of my car was not quite right during the first stint, but we were able to fix that at the first pitstop.

"After that, I think our pace improved and was good."
