Klien Optimistic of Finding More Pace
Christian Klien is hopeful that Red Bull Racing's form will improve as the Shanghai track gets more rubber laid down on it over the course of the Chinese Grand Prix
Both the Austrian and teammate David Coulthard struggled to get a good set-up in the first session but felt things improved over the course of the day.
"The car felt much better in the afternoon; it had been tricky to drive in the morning and I wasn't so quick, but I think we were around P10 in the afternoon," he said.
"We still have to work on the balance, but things got better as the day went on."
The day was not incident free for Red Bull Racing, with Klien suffering a puncture in the afternoon session and Coulthard a spin.
"I lost rear grip on the bumps in the middle of Turn one during the second session, which led to a spin," said Coulthard.
"It's sometimes hard to find good balance in the car on worn tyres, so when you go through a bumpy corner, the back of the car moves around. It's just one of the challenges of this track."
