Jordan Want Sato and Albers for 2006

The back-of-the-grid outfit, which will be re-branded as Midland next year, are one of the few teams with seats left available for 2006 and have a long list of options to fill those places.

Dutch driver Albers is believed to be in line for one spot and Kolles said: "We are in talks. They are encouraging. They are more than talks, but he is not signed yet. Nobody is signed yet."

Japanese driver Sato has lost his place at BAR for next year after the team confirmed Jenson Button will partner the incoming Rubens Barrichello in 2006.

He is keen to continue racing rather than become a test driver and Kolles confirmed Jordan's engine suppliers Toyota would give the team the go-ahead to sign him despite his links with Honda.

"We are very interested in Takuma. We talked about the issue with Toyota and they are happy," said Kolles. "We have to find the best solution for next year for our team. We have quite a lot of options."

Kolles remained candid on their current position over drivers, smiling and offering only short answers when asked about the Albers situation, which is believed to be a virtually done deal.

But BAR-Honda test driver Anthony Davidson remains in the picture having tested for the team earlier this month and impressed with his performance.

Kolles added: "We had a positive opinion of him and we still have a positive opinion after the test. He was very professional and it was not only that day.

"He came before that to the factory and he spoke to the engineers, the way he prepared the seat, everything, he is a very professional driver."

Davidson would bring good knowledge to the team from a front-running outfit but he has admitted he does not have any money to offer Jordan for the drive and they must search for sponsors to fund him.

Kolles said that is still a possibility and said: "For sure, he would bring some good knowledge and that is our interest. We are trying to find a solution for this and it is a possibility."
