Jordan aims to bounce back at Sepang
Eddie Jordan has vowed to bounce back after a difficult start to the grand prix season in Australia for his team
Neither of his cars made it to the finish in Melbourne, and the Irishman is keen to score points in Malaysia this weekend.
"We need to get on and do the job in Malaysia after the disappointment of Melbourne," said Jordan. "There was clearly nothing we could have done to avoid Fisichella being caught in the first lap crash, but we've been working hard to fix the problem that forced Takuma [Sato] to retire."
Fisichella said: "I can't wait to get back in the car, as the Melbourne incident robbed me and many other drivers out of a race. I like this circuit, although it is very demanding in terms of fitness and physical stress due to the very high humidity levels and temperature. Last year I lost nearly 3.5 litres of water during the course of the race."
Rookie Sato is making his racing debut at Sepang, but has driven around the circuit before: "I drove at Sepang in a Honda NSX sportscar after winning at Macau last year, so I know the circuit a little," he said. "It has lots of fast, long corners where the car is on the edge all the way - exactly my kind of track."
