Jaguar announces restructuring
Jaguar has announced changes to its management, required after CEO Jackie Stewart stood down and chief operating officer Paul Stewart gave up his post because of illness
Neil Ressler, Chairman of the board of Jaguar Racing, will take over responsibility for all team activities, becoming CEO immediately, while Jaguar Cars bosses Wolfgang Reitzle and Jonathan Browning join the Jaguar Racing board.
"Following Paul Stewart's understandable decision to relinquish his responsibilities as chief operating officer, it was important that we acted quickly to restructure the management of the team," said Ressler.
"Jaguar Racing has an experienced and dedicated group of executives and we are all now totally focused on realising the potential of the Jaguar R1 and our two drivers."
Ressler's other posts within the Ford Motor Corporation include Vice President of Ford, responsible for Research and Development, and chairman of Cosworth, Jaguar's engine builder.
It is understood Ressler will take a hands-on approach with the Jaguar F1 team, and his responsibilities for research within FMC will be delegated more.
