Impressive Massa Quickest at Mugello - Day Two

Brazilian Felipe Massa continued testing at the Mugello for the second consecutive day, the 20-year old being able to finish the day ahead of the most experienced current Formula One driver Jean Alesi.

Brazilian Felipe Massa continued testing at the Mugello for the second consecutive day, the 20-year old being able to finish the day ahead of the most experienced current Formula One driver Jean Alesi.

Massa continued his impressive work for Sauber, focusing on the development of the brakes and the cooling system of the Ferrari-powered C20, completing a total of 81 laps around the Italian circuit. Massa, who began testing for Sauber on Tuesday, finished nearly two tenths of a second ahead of Alesi, who joined the session today with the Jordan team.

"Today went very well," said Massa. "I did my quickest time at the end of the morning. Josef Leberer, the physio of the Team took good care of my muscles after the morning session. It feels that the more laps I complete, the best everything works around the car. The day was very positive and I can't wait until another run tomorrow Thursday."

The Jordan outfit spent their first day working on aerodynamic package assessment, start practice and general chassis set-up, with Alesi completing 100 laps to finish ahead of BAR's test drivers Darren Manning and Anthony Davidson.
