Head Not Getting Carried Away

Williams-BMW technical director Patrick Head warned drivers Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya to focus on maintaining their grid positions at the start of Sunday's French Grand Prix after they qualified first and second today.

The last time the pair started from a front row lockout, in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix, they failed to seize the opportunity to claim maximum points as World Champion Michael Schumacher got past both to take the win.

Head was delighted with the qualifying result but urged the pair to make up for their poor showing in Canada.

"There are many ways of getting it wrong on race day," he said. "We are not counting our chickens. We had an all-Williams front-row in Montreal but in that race we didn't manage to turn it into the top of the podium - so I think there is still going to be a good race this weekend."

The Williams pair have shot up the championship table in the last three races after finding their form at the Monaco Grand Prix and the team is now just 13 points behind Ferrari in the Constructors' Championship.
