GPDA set to review board members in Fuji

Ralf Schumacher, Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber were voted onto the board after a poll in China last year, and discussions about ratifying next year's directors are set to take place at next weekend's Japanese Grand Prix.

Webber told autosport.com: "I think we will do it in Japan, but I don't think there is any great rush from what I am aware of. I think most of the guys are pretty happy with the way we are going along at the moment."

Several GPDA members have expressed their hope that one of the sport's younger drivers would be willing to accept becoming a director. Webber also thinks it vital that Alonso continues.

"He is a current world champion and potentially the world champion again this year, so it is good to have someone that has been in the sport a while.

"It would be nice to have a young guy as well but they have been good in meetings anyway. At the end of the day it is just a bit of a paper trail and homework between races. As long as we get their input at Grands Prix, that is enough for us.

"We will also have to see what Ralf does next year. We may have to do some changes if Ralf isn't driving in F1."
