Glock worried by Toyota uncertainty

Timo Glock has admitted that he is concerned at not having completed a deal with Toyota for 2010

The Japanese manufacturer has been expected to take up its option on the German, which it still holds, for some time, but has yet to do so.

Amid renewed speculation about Toyota's long-term participation in F1, Glock is keen to get his future with the marque secured as soon as possible.

"A little bit, yes," said Glock when asked by AUTOSPORT about whether he is concerned not to have completed a deal.

"It is a bit of a worry at the moment and if you look at the situation with BMW - I think that all of the manufacturers are in a difficult situation.

"Everybody keeps the window open and you never know what is happening."

Glock added that he has been considering what alternatives are out there for discussions when his contract option expires. But his first choice is to remain at Toyota for a third season.

"For me, it's not an easy situation," said Glock. " You have to look at what options you could have if it goes wrong.

"But hopefully everything goes as we planned it and I can stay at Toyota."

Team-mate Jarno Trulli is looking increasingly unlikely to remain at Toyota next year, despite his willingness to take a pay-cut of what is understood to be around 50 percent.

However, as Glock is on a relatively modest wage for an established F1 driver, his salary is unlikely to be such a stumbling block.
