Giancarlo Fisichella Q&A

Hungary sometimes produces strange results, and this year even the Jordan team was surprised to see Giancarlo Fisichella beaten only by Ferrari and Williams in qualifying, and then bring the car home in sixth place on a day of low attrition. Once again the Italian showed that when there's even a sniff of a point he can get the job done. The only disappointment was that he spent much of the race in fourth place, but ultimately was unable to do anything about the charging McLarens that had qualified so badly but ran extremely well on race day. Adam Cooper spoke to the Italian

"It was a tough race! I made a fantastic start, and the first stint was good. In the second stint people I lapped stopped me and I lost quite a few seconds, and I nearly lost sixth position, so I'm disappointed for this. But anyway unfortunately today McLaren was much quicker than us, and we lost two positions. But sixth is great. I did my best, but that was really the maximum we could get. So I feel alright."

"No. At the beginning with a lot of fuel I had a lot of understeering, and at the end of the stints and at the end of the race there was a lot of oversteering. I was pushing, I was just watching the gap between me and the people behind me, and I was confident."
