Frentzen Leads the Way at Silverstone - Day Three

German Heinz-Harald Frentzen continued to show the progress of the Arrows A23 as he set the quickest time on the third day of testing at the Silverstone circuit.
The Arrows driver took full advantage of his Cosworth-powered A23 to set the best time of the session when the circuit was at its best after some overnight rains have wetted the track.
Frentzen was more than a second faster than Japanese Takuma Sato in the only Jordan present today after teammate Giancarlo Fisichella had completed his programme on Tuesday.
"I am positive about what we have done this week as we have improved a lot, and completed a full race distance without a problem," said Sato. "We have found some speed and have been more competitive this week. I am really looking forward to Melbourne."
Frentzen's teammate Enrique Bernoldi completed a positive day for Arrows by setting the third quickest time ahead of Eddie Irvine in the Jaguar R3 using the same engine as the Arrows. Renault drivers Jenson Button and Jarno Trulli were at the bottom of the timesheets today after the Italian driver had been quickest on the first two days.
"It was my first run in the new car, and everything was working fine," said Button. "I was also pleased to practice pit-stops in the T-car this afternoon, which was something we didn't have time for last year. I'm happy with what we achieved today, and can't wait to get to Melbourne."
Testing at Silverstone continues on Thursday.
