Foulston: BHL still interested in Silverstone
Former Brands Hatch Leisure boss Nicola Foulston has revealed that the company's interest in Silverstone has not diminished.
The 32-year-old, who announced her resignation from BHL - and motorsport - last week, said at AUTOSPORT International, that the commercial value of the two circuits being linked was obvious.
'I think that everyone - whether you agree with the way I approached it or not - sees an opportunity to combine the commercial interests of Silverstone and Brands Hatch, allowing the traditional motorsport club interest to be protected.'
She revealed that Octagon - a division of advertising giant Interpublic - which bought Brands Hatch at the end of 1999, would continue to show an interest in acquiring the Northamptonshire-based circuit.
'I know that Octagon are interested in pursuing that conversation and that large numbers of [BRDC] members are interested in pursuing that conversation and that is what I believe will happen.'
In September, Foulston's plans for a Silverstone takeover were scuppered by the British Racing Drivers Club.
