Ferrari to reveal staff changes this week

Ferrari are due to make an announcement about their future structure later this week, sporting director Jean Todt has confirmed

The team's technical director Ross Brawn is set to take a sabbatical next season and the Italian car manufacturer have been planning a restructuring of staff for several months now.

Todt told reporters after the Brazilian Grand Prix that an announcement would be made imminently, although he declined to elaborate on exactly what the changes will be.

"We have said that a few changes will be announced for next year after this race," said Todt, who himself is expected to take on a more senior role within Ferrari next year.

"The announcement is coming in the next days following the race. We will do that, a few changes will be announced and we will stick to what we have said."

There are suggestions that chief designer Aldo Costa will replace Brawn as Ferrari's technical director, with other changes including Mario Almondo, currently involved in human resources, moving into a senior role at the team.

Team manager Stefano Domenicali is also expected to have a revised position, taking on more responsibility for trackside operations.
