Don't Write Off Ferrari, Says Dennis

McLaren team chief Ron Dennis believes it is still too early to rule out World Champions Ferrari, despite another disappointing performance by the Italian squad in Monaco

Ferrari endured another weekend to forget at Monte Carlo, where Michael Schumacher scored two points from seventh place while teammate Rubens Barrichello finished in eighth.

McLaren, meanwhile, took their second consecutive win thanks to Kimi Raikkonen and the British squad are 30 points ahead of Ferrari in the standings.

Dennis, however, has warned not to write the World Champions off.

"We have enjoyed years of domination in Formula One in the past and we know that there is nothing more certain that domination comes to an end," said Dennis.

"Obviously they are struggling probably in a variety of areas, because it is very rarely one thing that sees a team lose its edge, but they are still a great racing team with great drivers, so you can never discount them."

Ferrari are enduring their longest streak without victories since Schumacher joined them in 1996.
