DC won't speak to Schuey about start-line tactics

The duo start side by side on the front row for the fifth time this season with a history of controversy and clashes behind them.

Facing a gruelling 77-lap race in sweltering heat on a track where overtaking is close to impossible, the 200-yard dash to the first bend will be crucial. But Coulthard said he has no intention of speaking to his Ferrari opponent before the race.

"The drivers' meeting has already happened and I have no plans to talk to Michael about his tactics," said Coulthard.

"There is no point in asking me about the first corner incident at the last race because there was only one driver that was involved," he added referring to Schumacher.

Schumacher chopped across Coulthard's path earlier in the season and Coulthard did the same to him at the last race, resulting in the Ferrari ace crashing out. Now DC starts behind Schumacher and could face another dose of the German's much-criticised rough-racing tactics. But the Scot did not appear too bothered to have lost out in qualifying.

"The goal is to be quickest in qualifying which gives you that little two metre advantage at the start and I tried but it wasn't there.

"If there were more points for qualifying there would be more joy or sadness, but there is not.

"We couldn't touch the Ferrari but I feel confident for the race.

"Ultimately it is the race result that decides who has done the best job."
