Anthony Davidson and Nick Heidfeld will test for Williams next month with a possible Formula One drive at stake.
Williams said today that Briton Davidson, the highly-rated test driver who helped BAR to second place in the Constructors' Championship, would drive for them at Jerez in Southern Spain on December 1st.
German Heidfeld, who drove for struggling Jordan this year after losing his seat at Sauber, will test at the same circuit from December 9th.
Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia, the team's incumbent test driver and front runner to partner Mark Webber in 2005, will test in Barcelona with the Australian on November 24th.
"These tests are intended to assist the process of determining the team's full driver line-up for 2005," Williams said.
The BMW-powered team, who finished fourth in the season just ended, are looking for a driver after failing to secure Briton Jenson Button from BAR following a long tug-of-war over his services.
Both Germany's Ralf Schumacher and Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya are leaving Williams, the former for Toyota and the latter for McLaren.
If Pizzonia gets the race seat, Williams will also be looking for a replacement test driver.
The team did not mention Briton David Coulthard, who has been lobbying hard for the last remaining top seat in Formula One after being replaced at McLaren.
Neither did the team offer any hope for France's Sebastien Bourdais, who won the ChampCar title in Mexico at the weekend and said afterwards that he would be calling team boss Frank Williams about a possible drive.
