Coulthard tips Button for Australia win

David Coulthard has tipped Jenson Button to turn pole position into victory in today's Australian Grand Prix - even though rivals Renault have a quicker car

Button edged out Giancarlo Fisichella and Fernando Alonso in qualifying and, with overtaking notoriously difficult at Albert Park, the advantage of pole could be crucial.

"I think this could be Jenson's first victory," said Coulthard, who won the Australian Grand Prix in 1997 and 2003.

"The Renault ultimately has more race pace, but this is a track where, if you have track position, you can win. I know that, because I've won twice here and had cars right behind me when I did.

"If the Honda team get the strategy right, then we could have a British victory. He has to get into that first corner ahead of the Renaults tomorrow - it's essential.

"If he's in first place at the first turn, he has a real chance of victory. If he's not, then things are going to be tough for him as they have such a good race pace."

Button is chasing his maden win after 104 Grand Prix starts.
