Coulthard 'pissed off' after car failure

David Coulthard admitted he was "pissed off" after a car failure cost him a chance of a good result in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix

The Red Bull driver forced the first part of qualifying to be red-flagged after losing control of his car at the third corner of the Barcelona circuit.

Coulthard crashed rather heavily against the barriers, meaning he could not continue in the session.

The Scot, racing in his 200th Grand Prix this weekend, will have to start from the back of the grid.

"There was failure on the car," said Coulthard. "Turn three is not a difficult corner, even when you're flat out, and I was on an out lap and not pushing hard at all. Something failed at the rear of the car and it just went away from me.

"I'm really pissed off as I think we were in really good shape this morning, but we just need to take it on the chin and see what we can do in the race."

Teammate Christian Klien will start from 15th position.
