Coulthard Asks Schumacher to Take Holiday

McLaren's David Coulthard congratulated Michael Schumacher on winning his fourth world title and suggested the Ferrari driver took a holiday for the rest of the season.
The Briton, Schumacher's main rival for the title this season, was beaten off the grid by the German's teammate Rubens Barrichello and finished in third place.
"At the start being on the inside seemed to be a disadvantage," Coulthard said. "In reality second place was the best that could be achieved today. Today is all about Michael's win. I congratulate him on that achievement and recommend that he takes a holiday for the last four Grands Prix.
"I drove to the maximum today but I did not have a car as quick. There was no way to compete with Michael once the start was gone and even then there is now way of knowing if I could. Maybe we should start in single file in future," he joked.
"There is no question that Michael deserves the Championship, he's been consistently fast and hasn't made any mistakes. We (McLaren) just go back to the drawing board."
Coulthard also said finishing second in this year's Championship will make no difference to him as he continues to search for his first world title.
The best Coulthard can do in this year's standings is second behind Ferrari's Michael Schumacher, but the British driver will ignore that prize to improve his individual performance.
"I won't feel any emotion for finishing second," he added. "I only want to win. It makes no difference to me whether I'm second, third or fourth, whatever it happens to be. What's important is how I perform in each of the individual races."
