Burti Released from Hospital

Brazilian Luciano Burti was released from the University Hospital of Liege on Monday, a day earlier than expected, and the Prost driver showed he is determined to show his talent when he gets back to racing.

Brazilian Luciano Burti was released from the University Hospital of Liege on Monday, a day earlier than expected, and the Prost driver showed he is determined to show his talent when he gets back to racing.

Burti has spent eight days in hospital, where he has undergone several tests following his horror crash during the Belgian Grand Prix one week ago. The 26-year old, who will be replaced by Czech driver Tomas Enge at the Italian Grand Prix next weekend, will travel to Monaco, where he will begin working in order to return to driving as soon as possible.

Though Burti has admitted he is not yet sure when will he be able to return to racing, the Brazilian claimed he is determined to show what he is capable of once he does.

"One of the first things I did after I left the hospital was to talk to my family and my friends and tell them that I am not ready to be back to racing yet," Burti admitted. "But I will be the only person who knows when I should be back in a F1 car. "

"They perfectly understood and respected my decision and I realised after this accident how important it is to be able to make this very personal decisions and share with the people that I love.

"If I am happy, I will be back to racing and if I have a competitive car, I will show the world what Luciano Burti is made of."
