Brawn Claims Ferrari Won't Relax

Ross Brawn, the Ferrari technical director, has warned that the Italian team will keep pushing for points this season - despite the fact they have secured both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships already.

Michael Schumacher won the World Championship last weekend in Hungary and his teammate Rubens Barrichello's second place at the Hungarian Grand Prix secured the Constructors' title.

For Brawn and Ferrari, however, that does not mean they can take their foot off the gas and the British technical director has said the team still have developments on this year's car to come and an aim for Barrichello.

"We will go into the last four races and our ambition now is for Rubens to finish second and we will be doing everything we can to give him second place in the Championship," said Brawn. "He deserves it, he's done a great job this year.

"There's still a lot to fight for. We have a new aero package for Spa, probably a new aero package for Suzuka, so we're not stopping."

Brawn also indicated that Ferrari will start work on building a new car for 2002 as soon as possible as they aim to keep both the Drivers' and Constructors' titles at Maranello.

He added: "We've got a new car to build next year which will be very important because we've got to do both again."
